User role model

DerScanner implements a role-based access control mechanism. Each user can be assigned a role that determines their privileges in the system. You can configure user rights and their access to projects/project groups in Admin Panel > Users > All Users > user name. A role can be selected from the pre-set list, or configured manually. Additionally, in Admin Panel > System > General > User Management > Project, you can set up default permissions for all users for projects of every type of analysis. These rights are assigned when you manually grant access to the necessary projects on the user's page. You can also configure permissions and access for a group of users in Admin Panel > Users > Groups > group name.

You cannot change the role permissions on the user's page.

If the rights assigned to the user in the account settings and the user group do not match, the restrictions and permissions are summed up.
